About Bute – The Isle of Bute is home to many amenities such as pristine golf courses with outstanding views of neighboring islands, peninsulas and archipelagos, the same can be said for the walking and hiking trails through the majestic beaches, rugged cliff faces, the lush green rolling hills and the peacefulness of the lochs, the Island is also a great place for fishing, loch Fad being the most central location to fish and a few other that are more remote. Unlike most of the western isles, Bute is densely populated creating a more hustles-and-bustles-type atmosphere, Rothsey has a good number of pubs and restaurants that can satisfy your needs as well as plenty of shops. Bute is also home to Mount Stuart house an architectural marvel constructed in the early 18th century, it has 300 acres of lush gardens to explore, art exhibitions to experience, a rich history to learn about and the house itself is enough to leave you astonished.
